President Obama, INDIA, and the UN

President Obama is commended for recommending the permanent membership of the Republic of India as to the UN Security Council. Long overdue, the world's largest democracy speaks well for ancient experience and the current UN Charter's objectives. As to which, that Charter should be amended to permit majority action by the UN Security Council with no veto -save by a faaled super majority of the council (ie 3/4 or 2/3). Further, UN members who do not adhere to the "consent of the governed" provision of the UN Charter should have their membership suspended; or given observer membership.
