New York State Taylor Act - PERB Law Bars Public Worker Strikes ... as prompted -recounted in CNN -the position fo Governor Pataki --for the state and City of New York .. properly applies the state's legal restriction against public emmployee strikes. By that statue -any issue of wages, salary and similar must be submitetd to colelctive bargaining. As with collective bargainign agreements in general --such clauses and lawas are enforceable by injunction --the strike, barring some unique and new Federal relief against the New York State law, is illegal.

Law has been on the books since Governor Rockefeller's administration passed in 1967 ..and has generally been followed.

With or without state law intervening -- such clasues are generally enforced against strikes in state and federal court by injunction.

Taylor Law is codified under the New York State Laws Consolidated -Civil Service Chapter . Article 14 Section 210 --which prohibits strikes by public employees.
