Dave Broder – RIP – Bettered & Lessened

Few reporters have a chance in the nation’s capital to leave a stamp on political life.  The occasional scoop; the peak interviews at the top; but the Washington Post ‘s ace politcal reporter -  David Broder - became an institution.  Political reportage will be lessened for a while by his passing;  but the institution created as the Washington Post will soon enough produce more contenders.  Mr. Broder made politics human and interesting.  A fine touch of any good reporter.  With his pen (and typewriter) American political life was told as it should be -  America’s people expressing trading and voting their values.  A fine political scientist in journalism.

To a great American journalist – this blogger would also enjoy the foreign reaction to his work.
